About Japan
Japan is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean in East Asia. Japan is also identified as the Land of the Rising Sun. Japan is also an archipelago which comprises over 3,000 islands.
In Japan the largest islands are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku. Most of these islands are mountains and many are volcanic. Mount Fuji is a volcano and it is Japan’s highest peak.
Japan has about 128 million in population and the Tokyo itself has over 30 million residents.
